Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival & Ancient Merv (UNESCO)
Arrival at the Farab border crossing. Meet your guide and driver before transferring to Mary, one of the oldest cultural centers in Central Asia and gateway to the legendary city of Merv.
After lunch, visit Ancient Merv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important cities of the Silk Road. Explore the impressive remains of this once-great metropolis, including ancient fortresses, city walls, and the Mausoleum of Sultan Sanjar.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Mary.
Day 2 – Ashgabat: The White Marble City
After breakfast, drive to Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, famous for its remarkable white-marble architecture.
Upon arrival, enjoy a city tour including:
• Independence Park
• Arch of Neutrality
• Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque
• Panoramic views of Ashgabat's marble boulevards and monumental architecture
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight in Ashgabat.
Day 3 – Ashgabat Bazaar & Darvaza Gas Crater
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Gulistan Bazaar (Russian Bazaar), one of Ashgabat’s oldest and most vibrant markets, where visitors can experience local life and browse traditional products, spices, sweets, textiles, and handicrafts.
After lunch, drive through the vast Karakum Desert towards the world-famous Darvaza Gas Crater, known as the “Gates of Hell.”
Enjoy dinner near the crater and witness one of the most extraordinary natural phenomena in the world.
Overnight in a desert camp / yurt near Darvaza.
Day 4 – Dashoguz & Departure
Breakfast in the desert.
Drive north through the Karakum Desert towards Dashoguz, enjoying the unique desert scenery along the way.
Transfer to the Shavat / Dashoguz border crossing and assistance with border formalities.
End of the tour.
