TURKMENISTAN EXPEDITION - 5 DAY UZBEKISTAN CONNECTED JOURNEY

Day 1 – Arrival & Mary Arrival at the Farab border crossing. Meet your guide and driver before transferring to Mary, one of the most important Silk Road cities in Turkmenistan. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a short orientation tour of the city. Overnight in Mary. Day 2 – Ancient Merv (UNESCO) & Ashgabat Explore Ancient Merv, one of Central Asia's most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites and once among the largest cities in the world. Discover ancient fortresses, mausoleums, and the impressive remains of this legendary Silk Road metropolis. After the visit, transfer to Ashgabat. Overnight in Ashgabat. Day 3 – Old Nisa, Akhal-Teke Horses & Ashgabat Visit Old Nisa, the ancient capital of the Parthian Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Continue to a local horse farm to experience the legendary Akhal-Teke horses, one of the oldest and most elegant horse breeds in the world. Later, enjoy a panoramic city tour of Ashgabat, famous for its white-marble architecture and monumental landmarks. Overnight in Ashgabat. Day 4 – Darvaza Gas Crater Visit Gulistan Bazaar before departing for the Karakum Desert. Arrive at the world-famous Darvaza Gas Crater, known as the "Gates of Hell," one of the most remarkable natural phenomena in Central Asia. Enjoy dinner by the crater and an unforgettable overnight stay in a traditional desert camp. Overnight in Darvaza. Day 5 – Kunya Urgench (UNESCO) & Departure After breakfast, travel to Kunya Urgench, one of the greatest historical cities of the Khorezm Empire and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore its magnificent mausoleums, minarets, and ancient architectural monuments before continuing to the Shavat / Dashoguz border crossing. End of the tour.
